Master Key Week 6 – Love, Wonderful Love
As I’ve made it through the weeks of the MKMMA program, I’ve had some challenges regarding some of the readings. As a Christian, I’ve raised my eyebrows at a fair amount of the statements in Haanel’s work. At other times, I’ve found myself nodding my head when the readings reminded me of scripture.
The Greatest Salesman in the World had not had either of those effects on me – until I started reading Scroll 2. This scroll is all about love. Reading it floods my system with endorphins, and each time I read it, I find similarities between it and 1 Cor. 13.
I’ve always loved 1 Cor. 13, and I daresay that Scroll 2 will be one of my favorites. God loves us so very much, that He gave His only Son for us, so we might have everlasting life. He loves us. All of us. Every single one of us. 1 Cor. 13 is a reminder of how we should act, and how to love each other. Scroll 2, in like vein, says that I will love, no matter who the person is, or what the circumstances are. The young, the old, the powerful, the meek, my friends and my enemies alike.
“Is it not so that birds, the wind, the sea and all nature speaks with the music of praise for their creator? Cannot I speak of with the same music to his children? Henceforth I will remember this secret and it will change my life.” This is the promise of Scroll 2, and to me, it embodies God’s love of each and every one of us so well.
Yet another powerful message is the promise to love myself, and to carefully “inspect all things which enter my body, my mind, my soul and my heart”. It is a promise to treat my body with cleanliness and moderation, as well as to uplift my mind and soul. As someone who is on a very personal journey to improve my health and to be in tip-top shape, this message, given to me three times a day, is going to strengthen my resolve to do the very best I can for my mind, body and spirit. Who knew that a scroll could help me achieve one of my goals?
The process of the movie posters – what fun! My hubby recently found one of the first pictures of us together (cue the romantic music, lol), and that is definitely going onto my movie poster. My kindergartner is going to have fun helping me with the poster, so that will be some great Mummy-daughter time. Considering that my older daughter is also doing the MKMMA with me, this week is turning into a blast!
